What is the difference between my vehicle Warranty and my Service Contract?
Your vehicle Warranty is comprehensive product coverage that is provided to you by the Manufacturer that protects you against product defects for a specified period of time or mileage.

Your Chrysler service contract is additional protection that you purchased that provides you with specific component coverage that goes beyond the Manufacturers Warranty period and extends your protection for the specific time and mileage duration you selected.

You select the coverage and time / mileage term that's best suited for your driving habits and intended length of ownership. A wide variety of plans are available - from 3 years / 50,000 miles to 7 years / 100,000 miles. Example: I want 4 years of coverage, the car has 20,000 miles already on it, it is 1 year old and I will put on approximately 13,000 miles a year. Answer: 4 yrs x 13,000 = 52,000 miles. Add in the existing 20,000 and you will have 72,000 miles on the car in 4 years and the vehicle will be 5 years old from the in-service date. The 5 year / 75,000 mile plan would be the best plan.

Eligible Vehicles
Vehicles with a 3 year / 36,000-mile basic warranty are eligible.  Vehicles with a 7 year / 70,000 mile or vehicles with a Lifetime powertrain  warranty are eligible for the Added Care and Maximum Care Warranties.  Ask for specific eligibility.

Choice of Plan Deductible
You may choose, depending on the plan selected, a $0, $50 or $100 deductible.

When Plan Coverage Starts and Ends
Plan coverage continues for the length of time and mileage you select. All time and mileage specifications are from the warranty start date (the original in-service date of the vehicle) and 0 miles. Plan expiration is specified in your plan provisions.  

Car Rental Allowance
The plan will pay up to $35 per day ($150 maximum per occurrence) anytime a component covered by the plan or basic warranty fails, causing the vehicle to be inoperable and repairs take overnight.

Trip Interruption (Maximum Care Only)
The plan will pay up to $1000 for lodging, meals and car rental expense if; (1) the vehicle is inoperable due to a failure covered by the service contract or the factory warranty and (2) the failure occurs more than 100 miles from home.

$100 Towing / Roadside Assistance
The plan provides 24-hour "sign-and-go" towing and roadside assistance up to $100 per occurrence. Benefits include towing, flat tire change (with your good spare), battery jump, out of gas fuel delivery (maximum 5 gallons) and lockout service.

Transfer Policy
A Chrysler Service Contract can make your vehicle more valuable and easier to sell. Remaining plan coverage may be transferred to the second retail purchaser of the vehicle at the time of vehicle sale, providing the remaining warranty is also transferred. A $50 plan transfer fee will be applied (except in New Hampshire - none, Florida - $25).
*Lifetime Wraps cover ONLY the first vehicle owner/lessee.  DCSC LIFETIME WRAPS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE. DCSC Lifetime wraps are only transferable in the state of New York ($50 transfer fee).  Florida dealers are not eligible to participate in this program.
